The Kurdish author and poet Muhammad Sayed Hussein died on February 11 at 80 after being infected with the Covid-19 virus in his hometown, Al-Qamishli, north of Syria.

Muhammed Sayed Hussain spent most of his life in Syria, but he moved for few years to the Czechia republic during the Syrian war.

The late author lived in great love with the Kurdish language. He wrote around 22 books in Kurdish including poetry, novel and political essays. He was considering that the Kurdish language is the identity of the Kurdish people directly.
